How to load a shared template

You can share apps and App templates with other MyPhoto App users or between your own MyPhotoApp Brands.  

Sharing Your App Designs

To share an app  or an App Template with someone else you will first need to add their details to the app sharing permission.

Click on App Sharing under app settings in the lower right hand corner of the builder Tab.



Enter the email address of the person you wish to share the app design with in the permissions field, this should be the same email they used to register for MyPhotoApp.



Copy the brand.appname - thetrainingguru.basic, highlighted in bold as in the example above,  publish the app to apply the change in permission and provide this to the person you want to share your app design with.  

Creating an app based on a Shared App or Template

When you have the name of a shared App or template, you can create your own duplicate version of it by going to the builder tab and clicking on the Create App button. 

 

The CREATE NEW APP dialog will open

 
Shared Apps will have the following form:     brand.name
Shared templates names look like this:   brand.name_template  

The brand. is the name of the brand in which the template is located, e.g. thetrainingguru. and the name_template follows the same convention as your own templates consisting of the App name and the _template  suffix e.g. senior_template. 

  1. Give your App a name
  2. In the USE SHARED TEMPLATE enter the name of the shared App or template e.g. thetrainingguru.basic 
  3. Click CREATE NEW APP  to create an App using the SHARED TEMPLATE.  
  4. Customise the app with our own Logo, contact details, and colour scheme.
  5. Save as a new template for future use.


Shared Apps and Templates will retain the brand color scheme and the logo image or any custom  settings and colors of the original version.  

  • To apply your brand color scheme click on the quick set up button and click done,  if custom colors have been applied you will need to go into the sections settings and delete any color information.

  • To update the logo you will need to upload your own logo into a logo section in the app.
