Clipboard - Copy Section To Other Apps and Across Brands

The clipboard function is a really powerful and useful tool, it allows you to copy sections, a group containing multiple sections, form fields or an entire page and paste them into a page or another App. This can be in either the current Brand or one of your other brands.   Only one section can reside on the clipboard at a time. 

Here is how you use it:  

In the Layout Section find the section, group, field or page you want to copy and click on the Copy Section To Clipboard icon located on the right hand side as shown in the image below. 

You will get a green copied to clipboard confirmation message in the top left of the builder.

 

Once you have copied an item to the clipboard, the clipboard icon will appear on the Layout Sections title line like this:
   

To add the copied item from the clipboard to a different page in the current app click on the page settings cog to open it, the clipboard icon will be in the top corner of the page settings, click on the clipboard icon to add the copied item to the page. Added items are usually added at the bottom of the page or visual design - you can then drag and drop it to the position you want it to be.

To add the copied item to a new or different App, either in the same brand or another,  simply create or select the destination App in the app navigator and click on the clipboard icon to paste the item in to the new app.   

Remember to publish your app after you have added the new item. 

You will never need to re type content again! 

TIP: You can now also copy fields from one form to another making it even easier to create custom forms quickly.
